Several police departments combined forces in an investigation that resulted in the seizure of $600,000 worth of stolen goods.
One person is charged in the investigation that saw Ontario Provincial Police in Huron and Perth counties, Halton Regional Police and Grey-Bruce OPP work together.
It was June 18 when the Huron-Perth community street crimes unit searched a storage site in West Perth, near Stratford, recovering stolen property. One day later, officers searched another site on Highway 10 in Grey Highlands, near Owen Sound.

The recovered property included a skid steer, several enclosed trailers, a snowmobile, four-wheeler, Ford F-150 pickup truck, a generator and a shotgun and rifle.
The total estimated value of the recovered stolen property is about $600,000, police said.
A 32-year-old man from Grey Highlands has been charged with the following in Perth County:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (three counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (three counts)
- Driving while prohibited under the criminal code (three counts)
- Fraudulent concealment
In Grey County he has been charged with:
- Possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Possession of a prohibited device (modified magazines) (two counts)
- Careless Storage of a firearm (two counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (seven counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (nine counts)
- Altering/removing/destroying a vehicle identification number (three counts)
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. The investigation was ongoing, police said on Tuesday.
