Five things: London Knights expect strong centres, will wait to name leaders again

CENTRE STAGE: The Knights lost Ryan Winterton and Sean McGurn to graduation. Landon Sim is still on the shelf until December. But they still expect to be strong up the middle with Denver Barkey and Max McCue shifting to the middle and Jets pick Jacob Julien with more experience under his belt. “Barkey played centre through minor hockey,” Dale Hunter said. “We move players around to teach them different positions. Now, he can play both wing and centre. He’ll move back to centre for this weekend.” Barkey and McCue went head-to-head a couple times when the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers met in some rookie contests and both boasted they got the better of the other at the faceoff dot.
