Tickets for 2022 Vanier Cup at Western on sale

Tickets for the first ever Vanier Cup championship to be held in London go on sale Thursday.

The Canadian university football championship is slated for November 26 at Western University’s Alumni Stadium. In a bid to ensure the game is accessible to students and families, ticket prices range from $25 for general seating to $30 to $40 for reserved seating.

“We are excited to announce with our partners Western University, The City of London, and Tourism London such affordable options for fans to attend this year’s Vanier Cup game,” said U SPORTS Chief Sport Officer Lisette Johnson-Stapley. “The host committee has intentionally set ticket prices in this range so that fans and families of all ages can be a part of this historic first Vanier Cup in London.

In addition to the game, ticket holders will be given access to Fan Fest outside of the stadium on game day.

Details about the halftime show are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, according to U SPORTS.

The championship has previously been held in Toronto, Quebec City, Hamilton, Vancouver, Montreal, and Saskatoon.

The Western Mustangs won the 2021 Vanier Cup. If they can make it to the finals again this year they could become only the second team in Vanier Cup history to retain the title on their home field. The only other time it has been done was in 2013, when the Laval Rouge et Or defended their previous season’s title.

Tickets and parking passes go on sale online at 11 a.m. Thursday at VanierCup.com. People interested in purchasing VIP and premium ticket packages can email tickets@uwo.ca.
