“We’re excited, because last winter was dreary and rainy, but now the phones are ringing off the hook with the snow we had last week, so it’s great to see it,” Greg Strauss, a member of the non-profit’s management team, said Wednesday.
Skiers and snowboarders will have access to seven of the ski hill’s 15 runs when Boler opens at 4 p.m. Thursday. Three of its four lifts will be operating.

Boler expects between 500 and 600 people will hit the slopes on the weekend, Strauss said.
Last week’s snowfall that coated parts of London with as much as 60 centimetres of snow helped, Strauss said, but Boler is busy making artificial snow that lasts longer in mild weather.
Conditions on Thursday and Friday will be ideal for skiing and snow-making. A high of –7 C is expected Thursday with the temperature plunging to –13 C at night.
Sunny skies and a high of –5 C are forecast for Friday with a chilly low of –13. The weekend is expected to be warmer with a high of 6 C and a chance of showers on Sunday.
Tubing and use of the west hill at Boler will be delayed, Strauss said.
Boler opened last year on Dec. 15.
When skiers and snowboarders return this year they will be able to check out the ski hill’s new 650-square-metre (7,000-square-feet) rental shop added to the chalet, Strauss said.
“It’s definitely a space we needed to give customers a better experience,” he said.
