Woman charged after bail breach: Windsor police
A 32-year-old woman facing firearm and drug-trafficking charges has been arrested for allegedly violating her bail conditions.
The woman was originally arrested by Windsor police in September 2023 and charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a firearm and a count of careless storage of a firearm.
She was granted bail with the conditions that she remain under house arrest with electronic monitoring, police said.
Police said bail compliance officers found she allegedly breached the conditions of her release order on several occasions.
The woman was arrested on Dec. 6, last Friday, in the 1600 block of Dougall Avenue, police said, adding that she has been charged with five counts of failure to comply with her release order.
The bail compliance officers are part of the offender management unit, a partnership between the Windsor and LaSalle police that launched in March. The team supervises high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew or electronic monitoring.
