A St. Thomas resident is charged with harassment after police say a person left flowers and a note on their ex-partner’s porch.
St. Thomas police on Friday said that an ankle monitoring company confirmed an individual went to their ex-partner’s home after being ordered not to have contact or communicate with them.
A St. Thomas resident, 72, is charged with one count of criminal harassment, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order, police said, adding they were arrested, taken to police headquarters and held for a court appearance.

Youths threatened with knife: Police
St. Thomas police say officers were called to a wooded area behind a local school after reports of an assault involving a knife and threats.
A group of youths playing in the woods was confronted by a person who was living in a tent in the area, police said. A knife was used to threaten the youths to stay away, police said.
A 37-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged, police said, adding the public is advised to stay away from anything that appears to be a campsite and to instead contact police so “the appropriate resources can be offered.”
Police issue warning over cellphone scam
London police say their cyber crime unit has noticed “a rise” in so-called SIM swap incidents, in which a victim’s cellphone number is taken over and their bank accounts are compromised.
They offered several tips for people to protect themselves, including enabling two-factor authentication, avoiding suspicious links and using unique passwords.
