Some streets don’t allow overnight parking, and parking in front of fire hydrants or in no-parking zones still isn’t allowed. Commercial vehicles, trailers and recreational vehicles also aren’t permitted to park on streets overnight.
If forecasters are calling for snow, a notice will be posted on the overnight parking registry, saying passes won’t be valid.
The city allows vehicles to park overnight between May 1 and Nov. 1 without registering.
City stresses safe use of fireworks on Diwali
Londoners will be permitted to set off fireworks in their backyards on Friday to celebrate Diwali, the city says.
Fireworks will be allowed between dusk and 11 p.m., the city said Wednesday in a news release.
Residents are reminded that fireworks are not allowed to be discharged on city parks and streets.
“Safety is key, whether you are planning a large fireworks display or just using sparklers. Remember, sparklers can get extremely hot and cause burns if not handled properly,” the city said.
