Emergency crews were called Sunday at 2:15 p.m. to a crash involving three vehicles on Courtright Line near Mandaumin Road in St. Clair Township, where a 19-year-old St. Clair resident was pronounced dead at the scene, Lambton County OPP said.

Investigators closed down sections of Courtright Line and Madaumin Road for several hours but have since reopened the roads. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or has video footage of it, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Sunday’s fatal crash brings the Thanksgiving weekend death toll to three people on Southwestern Ontario roads.

A 72-year-old Chatham resident died in hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Currie Road, north of Fingal Line, outside of Wallacetown on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Just hours later, an 83-year-old North Perth resident was struck and killed while walking on Highway 23 north of Line 77, north of the community of Atwood, police said.

Police haven’t released the identities of any of the deceased in the three fatal crashes that come as the OPP step up traffic enforcement over the long weekend. Operation Impact, a coordinated campaign to target impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers, began on Friday and runs until Thanksgiving Monday.
