A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Friday afternoon in southwest London, London police say.
The male driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital following the crash involving another vehicle at about 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Colonel Talbot Road and Southminster Bourne, police said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The intersection is closed in all directions as police investigate the crash, including flying drones above the scene.
The crash comes weeks after a pair of London collisions involving motorcycles, one fatal and the other causing serious injuries.
There have been nine fatal collisions in the London-region involving motorcycles, largely on rural roads, since early July. It’s a trend Ontario Provincial Police say is happening across the province, and serious enough to prompt an enforcement blitz.
Brantford police officer charged with obstructing justice
A Brantford police officer has been charged with obstructing justice.
A news release issued Thursday said the five-year member of the force was charged by Brantford police on March 8, 2023, and has a court appearance scheduled for Nov. 19 in Brantford.
The charge comes after an investigation by Brantford police officers into the officer’s conduct related to a Sept. 21, 2022 incident.
The officer has been suspended from duty with pay since Oct. 28, 2022. The suspension remains in effect pending the outcome of the criminal court process, says the release.
“This alleged incident is not reflective of the values of the Brantford Police Service,” police said. “At the core of the Brantford Police Service is a team of dedicated sworn and civilian members who provide professional service to our community and demonstrate a strong moral compass based on trust, dignity and respect.”
