A man charged with second-degree murder in a death at an outdoor education centre west of London is the son of the deceased, former workers say.
Nicholas Russell-Ewanation, 28, is accused of killing Barry Ewanation, whose body was found May 27 at the Circle R Ranch at 3017 Carriage Rd. in Delaware.
Russell-Ewanation was one of Ewanation’s two sons, according to three former ranch workers, who asked not to be identified out of respect for the grieving family.

Provincial police have released few details about the case, including the victim’s name, the relationship between the victim and the accused, and the cause of death.
Ewanation’s identify was revealed in court documents obtained by The London Free Press.
Less than an hour before a suspicious death was reported at Circle R Ranch, London police arrested Russell-Ewanation near Bostwick and Wharncliffe roads and charged him with impaired driving.
Russell-Ewanation, who attended Medway secondary school, made at least two of his first court appearances from a hospital bed. He remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court Aug. 14.
Court documents list Russell-Ewanation’s home address as the Delaware ranch and the former workers say his family runs the business, founded in 1966 by John and Milly Russell.
Located on an 89-hectare (220-acre) property bordered by the Dingman Creek watershed, the outdoor venue is a popular destination for school trips, a sleep-over summer camp and seasonal activities, such as horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, archery, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
