The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation recently purchased two in-patient vital signs monitors and two oncology vital signs monitors after receiving a grant in the amount of $18,332 from the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Branches and Ladies’ Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation.
The WDH Foundation extended “a sincere thank you to the local legions in Wingham, Lucknow, Blyth, Howick and Brussels, their auxiliaries and to the Ontario Command Charitable Foundation,” in a June 13 news release.
“Thank you for recognizing the value of having quality healthcare close to home,” the release reads. “The grants provided by the Royal Canadian Legion serve to keep comprehensive health care available close to home and help aging veterans and their spouses live independently, safely, and comfortably in their home communities as long as possible.”
