London police were asking the public for assistance on Saturday after an overnight shooting in a quiet residential neighbourhood in the city’s southwest end.
A resident called police to report hearing several loud bangs near Maidstone Lane and Raleigh Boulevard, near Colonel Talbot Road and Southdale Road, at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, London police said in a statement.

Officers arrived at the scene and found evidence that a gun had been fired in the area, police said.
There were no reported injuries, police said.
The London police guns and gangs section is handling the ongoing investigation, police said.
Anyone with information about the shooting, or who was near Maidstone Lane and Raleigh Boulevard between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, is asked to contact London police.
Investigators are also asking for individuals with dashboard-camera, residential or business surveillance footage to come forward.
The early morning shooting is the first gunfire incident reported by London police in 2025.

Man charged with child luring
A man has been arrested on child luring charges involving a person younger than 16 after Chatham-Kent police received help from Windsor police.
Investigators with the local police service’s internet child exploitation (ICE) unit received assistance from the Windsor police ICE unit, which located the man in Amherstburg on Thursday.
