Police probe ongoing after vehicle crashes into business

Ontario Provincial Police officers in Oxford County were investigating after a vehicle crashed into a business in Ingersoll.

Police say it was about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday when a passenger vehicle crashed “through the front of a business” on Charles Street East. A photo made public by police shows a white, four-door vehicle, with more than three-quarters of it inside the building.

Police say no one was hurt and as of Friday morning the investigation was ongoing.

Weekend weather warning

Environment Canada is warning of heavy snowfall in and around London beginning on Friday and continuing into Saturday.

The national weather agency says as much as 35 centimetres could fall by Saturday night. They issued a snow squall watch for London, Parkhill and eastern Middlesex County. “Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather,” Environment Canada officials say.

Man charged after vehicle crashes into shed: Chatham police

A Blenheim man faces an impaired-driving charge after a vehicle slammed into a Tilbury-area shed, Chatham-Kent police say.Donais Line residents heard a loud crash about 7 a.m. Sunday as a car left the road, went through a fence and into a large shed, police said. Minor injuries were reported and damage was estimated at more than $40,000.The homeowner stopped two of the vehicle’s three occupants as they tried to leave, police said.Officers spoke to the vehicle’s occupants during their investigation and arrested a man, police said.

A Blenheim man, 37, is charged with impaired operation and dangerous operation of a vehicle, police said. He was released from custody with a Jan. 13 court date.
