One person is dead and three are injured after a single-vehicle collision on the highway near Strathroy early Sunday.
At around 2:40 a.m., Middlesex OPP officers, Strathroy firefighters, and Middlesex-London paramedics responded to the collision on Highway 402, west of Glendon Drive, police said.
One person was confirmed dead at the scene while the three others were brought to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police added.

The highway’s westbound lanes were closed Sunday morning between Glendon Drive and Hickory Drive in Strathroy as officers continue to investigate, police said.
Two people charged after restaurant assault
A 47-year-old woman is facing three charges including assault with a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with probation after an assault at a restaurant, St. Thomas police say.
Officers were called to a south-end restaurant for the assault, where they learned two people were having dinner when a fight broke out and a woman assaulted a man with cutlery, police said.
There were no injuries, and officers learned the woman was on conditions not to be around the man, police said.
St. Thomas police add the woman was held for morning court Saturday, and the man has also been charged with being party to the offence and a summons has been requested.
St. Thomas resident scammed
A St. Thomas resident is out $100,000 after falling victim to a “job scam,” police said in a statement Friday.
For more than a month the resident was investing money into a company that they believed they were working for, but later learned the company was not legitimate and did not exist, St. Thomas police said.
The matter is still under investigation, police said.
