Vehicle lands on roof after Christmas Day crash in west London

One person was taken to hospital after a Christmas Day crash west of downtown London.

The two-vehicle crash, which happened about noon on Wednesday, occurred at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Wharncliffe Road. It involved two four-door vehicles – one of which wound up on its roof as a result of the collision.

One person was taken to hospital. Attempts to get further details on the crash from London police were unsuccessful.

Man stabbed and robbed in park: Sarnia police

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed and robbed while walking early Christmas morning in Sarnia’s Wiltshire Park, city police say.

Officers called at about 1:30 a.m. provided first aid while waiting for an ambulance to arrive at the scene, police said on Wednesday. The man had several wounds as a result of the attack and suffered “significant blood loss,” police said.

The man had been walking in the park, near the Howard Watson Trail, when he was attacked by two unknown men, stabbed several times and robbed of personal items, police said.

His injuries included significant cuts on his thigh and left shoulder, as well as minor cuts on his arm, the top of his head and face, as well as defensive wounds on his hands, police said.

It’s believed one of the suspects may have also been injured during the incident, police said.
