London police made the city’s largest-ever seizure of fentanyl after arresting a second suspect in a shooting at a London public housing building, police say.
Three men entered an apartment building at 241 Simcoe St., west of Wellington Street, on Nov. 19 at 5:35 p.m. and forced their way into a unit, where one of the intruders pointed a gun at a person and fired a shot, police said. Nobody was injured and the suspects ran away before officers arrived.

Members of the guns and gangs section arrested Nicholas Traviss, 28, of London on Dec. 8 and searched his house the next day, Det.-Sgt Josh Silcox said Wednesday.
Investigators seized 12.4 kilograms of fentanyl, more than one kilogram of cocaine, 388 grams of carfentanil, 794 oxycodone pills and four loaded handguns, Silcox said.
Silcox, the head of the guns and gangs unit, called the fentanyl seizure the largest-ever in London police history.
“Drug trafficking and illegal firearms possession poses a safety risk to everyone,” Silcox said.
Traviss is charged multiple gun and drug offences including discharging a firearm with intent to would or endanger life, possession of a firearm contrary to a probation order, careless storage of a firearm and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Fentanyl, an opioid up to 100 times more potent than morphine, has been linked to many of the city’s drug overdoses in recent years.
Police had previously identified and arrested a fourth suspect, Christian Marengere, 39, who is charged with discharging a firearm with intent to wound or endanger life, breaking and entering with intent and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
