A man was in hospital with life-threatening injuries Thursday following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, London police say.

It was about about 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday when London police say officers were called to Oxford Street East and First Street after the collision. An adult man was taken to hospital, police said.
The investigation was in its early stages, police said, and had been reassigned to the traffic management unit, police said.

Chatham woman killed in crash
A 34-year-old Chatham woman died at the scene of a crash west of Ridgetown on Tuesday night.
“The vehicle struck a tree and rolled onto its roof,” Chatham-Kent police said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The single-vehicle collision happened on Ridge Line, between Kent Bridge Road and Shewburg Road, in the former Howard township at about 10:20 p.m.
Police said the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Ridge Line Road when it left the roadway and slid into the westbound lane and onto the north shoulder.

Woodstock man charged with impaired driving
A 42-year-old Woodstock man is charged with impaired driving after a citizen reported a traffic complaint in Chatham-Kent on Monday.
Elgin OPP located the vehicle westbound on Highway 401 near Howard Road around 3:30 p.m., police said.
The man’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impoundment for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in Chatham court in January.
