Youth, 15, charged with assault: Ontario Provincial Police

A youth has been charged with assault after a disturbance in Parkhill, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police in Middlesex County say officers were called to Main Street in Parkhill, located in North Middlesex, at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old was taken into custody without incident and charged with assault, police said, adding that there were no serious injuries.

The youth has been released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date, police said. The teen’s identity can’t be made public under the provisions of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.

11 stolen vehicles found at one location: Police

A Windsor man is facing multiple charges after police found 11 stolen vehicles and a loaded handgun at a property in the community of Lakeshore.

Officers with the Lakeshore OPP used GPS to track a reported stolen vehicle on Monday to the 1900 block of Lakeshore Road 211, police said.

A search of the property turned up the stolen vehicle, which was located along with other stolen vehicles including three motorcycles, two enclosed trailers and four utility trailers.

Officials said a quantity of Canadian currency and a loaded handgun were also seized.

Police estimate the value of the recovered items at more than $300,000.

Anthony Myles Gardiner, 23, of Windsor has been charged with four counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and nine counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000.

In addition, Gardiner is charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, two counts of careless storage of a firearm and four counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
