A 48-year-old Norfolk County man faces charges Ontario Provincial Police say they seized $200,000 worth of stolen property, including several vehicles.
Officers in the OPP Norfolk County detachment’s auto theft ring, working with the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP street crime unit, raided a property on Windham Road 13 just after 7 a.m. on Oct. 25, police say. The address is located on a rural road northwest of Simcoe.

The investigation began in September, police said. Officers found five stolen vehicles, two stolen utility trailers, vehicle parts and accessories worth about $200,000 in total, police said.
The accused has been charged with five counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He is scheduled to next appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Dec. 3.
Two hurt in Oxford County crash
Two people suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash in rural Oxford County, Ontario Provincial Police say.
It was about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday when police say that OPP officers and Oxford County firefighters and paramedics were called to a crash on Plank Line, which runs north-south including between the towns of Ingersoll and Tillsonburg. Police were not more specific about where along Plank Line the crash occurred, but said it was in the township of South-West Oxford.
The crash involved two passenger vehicles, police said, adding that both drivers were taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours while officers investigated, police said. There was no indication of charges being laid. Anyone with information including dashboard-camera footage is asked to call Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
