Two women charged in connection with a homicide at a west London apartment building are mother and daughter, says a former family friend.
Jamie Lynn Bailey, 30, and Kerry Bailey, 54, are both charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the death of Darko Lukic, 48, who died in hospital after he was found critically injured near his apartment building at 122 Base Line Rd. W. on July 20.

“They’re related. They’re mother and daughter,” said a friend of the younger Bailey, who asked not to be identified for fear of retribution.
Court documents list the same Commissioners Road apartment as the home address for both women.
Dauntae Johnson, 19, and Joseph Veneau, 30, are charged with second-degree murder in Lukic’s slaying, one of six homicides in the city this year.
Jamie Bailey is a mother of six and Veneau is her boyfriend, said the friend, who has known the younger Bailey since 2018.
“Joseph was a red flag for me,” the woman said, adding her friendship with the younger Bailey ended soon after she began dating Veneau.
Court documents allege the mother and daughter assisted Johnson and Veneau “for the purpose of enabling them to escape.” The younger Bailey’s accusation is from some time between July 19 and Aug. 17, while the elder Bailey’s is from July 20.
Both Jamie Bailey and Veneau were arrested on the east coast.
Veneau was arrested in Halifax, N.S., on Aug. 17. Jamie Bailey was arrested in Saint John, N.B., on Sept. 27. Both have been returned to London and remain in custody.
