A London man has been charged after a ride-share driver was threatened with a knife, police say.
London police say a passenger was picked up by a driver from a ride-share app – such as Uber or Lyft, though it wasn’t specified by police – shortly after 11:30 p.m. last Saturday.
Police say the passenger didn’t provide the driver with a destination and made derogatory comments towards him.

The passenger told the driver that he had a gun, flashed a knife, and then uttered a threat, police said.
The male driver stopped the vehicle, and the suspect left the car, police said. Police were contacted, and a man was located and arrested. There were no reported injuries.
A 34-year-old London man is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats of death or bodily harm. He is scheduled to next appear in London court on Dec. 5, police said.
London police probe robbery
London police are appealing to the public for help identifying a suspect in a robbery last weekend.
On Sunday around 10 p.m., a man entered what London police called “a secure building” on Windermere Road and met with friends.
Police say he was followed by an unknown man who approached him and his friends and demanded cash.
After brandishing a knife and getting money from the victims, the suspect left on foot, police say.
Police were contacted and searched the area without any results. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is said to be around 30 years old, standing roughly five-foot-five with brown hair and a slim build. He was wearing a thin black puffer jacket with a hood and baggy black pants.
