Stunt-riding motorcyclist sparks police probe

Police in Brantford were seeking information from the public to identify the rider of a motorcycle involved in stunt driving.

The rider was seen standing on his moving motorcycle on several occasions and also exhibited other aggressive driving behaviour, police said in a statement. Police issued a photo in the hope of identifying the motorcyclist, who is largely unidentifiable due to their black helmet and tinted mask.

Anyone with information, including dashboard-camera or surveillance footage of the rider, was asked last week to contact Const. Rob Hall of the Brantford police at 519-756-7050, ext. 2844. Teenage girl sexually assaulted, man charged: London police

A London man is charged after police say a teenage girl was sexually assaulted.

London police say it was about 10 p.m. on Oct. 17, last Thursday, when a teenage girl met a man near the intersection of Clarke Road and Wavell Street. The two started a conversation and went together to the east side of an unspecified school on Clarke Road in the city’s east end, police said.

Police say the girl was sexually assaulted at about 6 a.m. the next morning. The girl entered the school and reported the incident and police were contacted.

Police were able to identify a suspect through witness descriptions and video surveillance footage.

A 36-year-old London man was arrested. He’s charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 and sexual interference. He was slated to appear in court on Monday.

London man, 24, charged after armed robbery

A Londoner faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, after an employee was threatened with a knife at a store in the city’s south end, police say.

Police say it was about 11 a.m. on Friday when a man entered a business in the 400-block of Southdale Road East, located just east of Wharncliffe Road. The man picked up products in the store and left without paying, police said.

When confronted by an employee, the man, whose face was covered with a mask, flashed a knife and threatened the worker, police said. No physical injuries were reported.

A 24-year-old London man faces a raft of charges including armed robbery, uttering death threats and failing to comply with a release order. He was slated to appear in court on Monday.

Pilot hurt in plane crash southwest of London: Ontario Provincial Police

A 42-year-old pilot was taken to hospital after a plane crashed into a utility pole southwest of London, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County say it was about 11:40 a.m. on Saturday when emergency crews responded to reports of a plane crash near the rural intersection of Duff Line and Coyne Road in Dutton-Dunwich. The lone pilot, a 42-year-old from Dutton-Dunwich, was taken to hospital for injuries considered to be not life-threatening, police said.
