London police have released a photo of a suspect in an Old East Village arson earlier this month amid their continued effort to identify him.

On Sept. 5 just after 10:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to the 700-block of Dundas Street for a fire at an abandoned multi-unit building near Hewitt Street.

No one was injured, and the damage was pegged at $800,000, according to police, who also began investigating the blaze as an arson.

Police say their suspect is a white man between 20 and 40 years old, with a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie with a white logo on the front, black pants, dark running shoes, and a black-and-white baseball cap. He also has a tattoo, possibly a cross, on the back of his neck behind his right ear.

Investigators are continuing to appeal for help from the public, specifically those who were in the 700-block area of Dundas Street between 10:20 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday Sept. 5. Those who may have dashcam or video surveillance footage, or have any information on the suspect, can call London police at 519-661-5670.

Man charged in three-vehicle crash

A 47-year-old man from Windsor has been charged with careless driving following a three-vehicle collision on County Road 20 in the Southwestern Ontario community of Harrow on Tuesday morning, police said.

The road was closed between Isler Road and McCormick Road to make the scene safe for emergency crews, Ontario Provincial Police officials with the Essex County detachment said.

The occupants of the vehicles received only minor injuries, police said. The road was reopened by 10 a.m., police said.
