The third outstanding suspect in a July shooting in downtown London has been arrested, police say.

In a statement Friday morning, police say that 31-year-old Dean Robert Dickieson was arrested in Brampton by Peel Regional Police on Thursday and that he’s been returned to London, remaining in custody.

On July 21 at about 5 a.m., police were notified after a man showed up in hospital with gunshot wounds. He treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

Investigators say the shooting happened an hour earlier in the area of Richmond and Clarence streets, in the heart of downtown London.

Police obtained arrest warrants for 34-year-old Mohamed Sail and Dean Robert Dickieson, 31, both of London, on charges of discharging a firearm with intent to wound or endanger life, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm and using a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence.

Sail is additionally charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault, while Dickieson faces an additional charge of attempted murder, police said in a previous statement.

Police then identified a third suspect, Tristan Omari King-Wilson, 23, of London, who was wanted on charges of occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.

In late August, London police announced that Sail had been arrested in Mississauga on Aug. 23, and was returned to London on the charges, and that King-Wilson had been arrested in Windsor and returned to London.

Both Sail and Dickieson have a history of run-ins with police.

Sail was found not guilty in the 2014 shooting death of Jeremy Cook, a Fanshawe College student who was killed while trying to retrieve his stolen cellphone. Dickieson was once on the London police most-wanted list and was sentenced to three years in prison for gun charges.
