Four teens charged in London store robbery and assault
Four London teenagers are charged after a north London store was robbed and an employee assaulted, police say.
Four teenagers entered the undisclosed business on Adelaide Street North near Cheapside St. just before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Property was stolen and the employee assaulted before the teens ran away, police said. Two of the teenagers returned to the store, assaulted the same employee and again fled, London police say.

Officers found and arrested four teen suspects nearby and recovered the stolen property. Under Canada’s youth justice law, none of the suspects can be identified but police said two are 14-year-olds and another is age 16. Those three were jointly charged with one count of robbery.
Another suspect, a 17-year-old, is charged with one count of assault with a weapon. All four are to appear in court in London on the charges on Nov. 4.

Woman charged in drowning of five-year-old daughter
A Windsor woman is facing criminal charges following the drowning death of her five-year-old daughter.
Windsor police arrested the 25-year-old woman on Thursday and charged her with criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessaries of life.
Officers responded to a call about a drowning at a home on Barton Crescent shortly before 9 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Police said Friday that officers arrived at the home and quickly recovered the child from the bottom of the backyard pool.
“Officers and personnel from Windsor Fire & Rescue Services performed life-saving measures on the unresponsive child pending the arrival of emergency medical services,” police said. “Despite these efforts, the child was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”
The Windsor Police Service’s major crimes unit began an investigation that led to the arrest of the little girl’s mother.
