Richmond Street near Western University was closed Thursday morning after a serious crash, London police said.

Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed at Epworth Avenue as the workday began after the crash that sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said, adding that they were warning drivers to avoid the area.

CTV London published a photo of the collision’s aftermath, showing a vehicle with its front-end smashed in, and all four airbags deployed. It’s a black, four-door car that was surrounded by yellow police tape.

Three charged after police seize $45K in stolen property

Windsor police have seized more than $45,000 in stolen property and arrested the last of three suspects following a break-in several months ago. 

Windsor police said officers began investigating on May 27 after a break and enter at a commercial property in the 3600 block of Lauzon Road. 

Police said the culprits stole 30 compression fittings, which only utility companies can buy. The fittings were worth a total of about $45,000, according to investigators.

Officers recovered 29 of the 30 stolen fittings. Police also identified three suspects, and eventually arrested them over the last few months.  

On May 29, officers arrested a 48-year-old woman, who has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime.  

They arrested a 37-year-old man on Aug. 9 and charged him with possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking property obtained by crime, and fraud under $5,000.  

Police arrested the final suspect, a 56-year-old man, on Monday. He has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime.
