A London man wanted by police after skipping his sentencing hearing this week has turned himself in to police.

Ford turned himself in at police headquarters on Friday, police said.
Ford was granted bail on July 22 after pleading guilty to discharging a firearm, robbery with a weapon, breaching probation and two counts of breaching a release order.
Ontario Court Justice Kevin McHugh agreed to release Ford, who had been in custody since his arrest on March 2, 2023, to allow him to spend time with his daughter, who was born while he was in jail, and to get his affairs in order.
Ford now faces additional charges of mischief, failing to attend court and failing to comply with a release order. He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday afternoon.
Woman charged after fake-pregnancy ‘romance scam’: Police
Ontario Provincial Police in Essex County have charged a 26-year-old Windsor woman in connection to a fraud investigation – and investigators believe there could be more complainants who’ve not yet come forward.
Police launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from a person who alleged they had been defrauded of about $18,500 while in an intimate partnership with a woman. Police say the two were in a relationship “engaging in intimate activities.”

Police say a 26-year-old Windsor resident was charged with fraud over $5,000 on June 6. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in downtown Windsor at a later date.
Investigators believe there could be more people affected by the “romance scam” and said the investigation was ongoing.
