A London man and Brantford woman face charges after two people were found in a stolen vehicle near Old East Village, city police say.
Officers spotted a vehicle stolen in Brant County parked on Dundas Street near Adelaide Street about noon Wednesday, London police said.
When officers to tried to arrest a man and a woman who got out of the vehicle, the woman tried to run away and resisted before she and the man were arrested, police said.

Suspected fentanyl was seized from the woman, who gave a false name, police said.
A 26-year-old London man and a 30-year-old Brantford woman are charged with possessing proceeds or property or thing obtained by crime valued at less than $5,000. The woman also is charged with resisting arrest, public mischief diverting suspicion from self, and possessing a prohibited substance.
The woman was scheduled to appear Thursday in London court. The man is to appear Oct. 2.
Man charged with assaulting hospital employee
A 54-year-old man from Norfolk County faces four charges, including assault, after a hospital employee was assaulted.
Officers with Norfolk OPP responded to a report of an assault just before 1 a.m. Thursday at the Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe, south of Brantford, police said.
An individual had threatened and physically assaulted a hospital employee, who was not injured, after being told to leave the premises, police said.
Officers found the suspect on site and took them into custody without incident, police said. The 54-year-old man is charged wit assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, failing to comply with a probation order and failing to leave premises when directed.
He was held in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing in Simcoe.
