Windsor police probe vehicle blazes
Windsor police are searching for two suspected arsonists who set fire to a pair of vehicles.
Officers were called to a property in the 1300 block of Langlois Avenue shortly after midnight on Tuesday to respond to a report of an active fire.
When Windsor police officers and firefighters reached the scene, they discovered a sedan and a minivan fully engulfed in flames. Windsor firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Police report that no one was injured by the fire, but both vehicles were destroyed.
Officers obtained video footage during an investigation that shows two suspects arriving at the scene in a white SUV with an aftermarket exhaust. The suspects then doused the sedan with a “liquid substance” and set it on fire before fleeing south on Langlois Avenue, police said.
Investigators are asking nearby residents and business owners to check surveillance or dashboard-camera footage for possible evidence that can assist with the investigation or help to identify a suspect or suspects.
