London police and paramedics were at the scene Sunday morning of a London Transit bus that crashed into the ditch along Highbury Avenue.
It was about 9:30 a.m. when London police announced that officers were called to the crash, in the area of Commissioners Road East and Highbury Avenue. It was the lone vehicle involved, police said.
“Multiple passengers were on board at the time of the collision,” police said in a statement, adding that the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

As emergency crews remained at the scene, police were asking drivers to avoid the area. At about 11:30 a.m., London police announced that the northbound lanes had been re-opened and their investigation into what caused the crash was ongoing.
Video taken by The London Free Press showed the bus having crashed into the grass median between the north and south lanes of Highbury, a busy north-south thoroughfare in the city’s east end. Several police were at the scene.
