London police are investigating a rash of break-ins and property damage at three public elementary schools in the city.
The incidents took place between Aug. 5, involving two schools that day – Sir John A McDonald public school and White Oaks public school – and Aug. 11 at Northbrae public school, police said on Thursday.
No specifics were made available about what was taken from the three schools or damaged at them. In an email, however, Const. Mike Dawson said “a small number of items were taken from one of the schools.”

Based on the information available, Dawson said it did not appear that the three incidents were connected and all three break-ins are separate investigations.
The break-ins come just weeks before area children return to school for the fall, with the first day of class scheduled Sept. 4.
