London police have launched a homicide investigation after a man found critically injured outside an apartment building last week died.
The man was found early Saturday, July 20, outside an apartment building at 122 Base Line Rd. W., police said. He was taken by paramedics to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and police were contacted at about 4:30 p.m. and began an investigation.

The London man, identified as Darko Lukic, 48, died in hospital, police said Friday.
The death has been ruled a homicide – the city’s fifth of the year – but no cause of death has been released.
Police haven’t arrested any suspects in the case and are appealing to anyone in the area between 5 a.m. and 8:30 a.m on July 20 who has information, or surveillance or dash-cam footage, to contact them. Lukic’s death comes just over a week after Breanna Broadfoot, 17, died in hospital two days after her boyfriend, Kuhkpaw Moo, 18, stabbed her and a 22-year-old man at his east-end home on July 16 before he was fatally shot by police.
Two officers opened fire after encountering a man armed with a knife, the Special Investigations Unit said.
