Police in the Owen Sound-area community say they were called at 11:48 p.m. to the crash and they detected an odour of alcohol on the driver. The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and later released, police said.
A woman from Toronto is charged with impaired driving. She’s scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Aug. 8.
According to a news release published on Wednesday morning, police said officers arrived at the downtown address where they found a man sitting on the porch “bleeding profusely.”
Following an investigation, officers learned a suspect was armed with a knife and an “unknown sharp object.”
According to police, the suspect had confronted the victim inside the Clinton Street home, where he stabbed him several times, mostly to the upper body.
The victim was “quickly treated” by officers and paramedics at the scene before being taken to the hospital, police say.
Police described the victim’s injuries as non-life-threatening.
A 28-year-old is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
