Support Sereda
It was with anger, but no surprise, that I read, in the article Conservatives, London doctor spar over safe supply remarks (June 24), that the Conservative Party of Canada is targeting Dr. Andrea Sereda and the excellent work she does.
The motto of the federal Conservative Party should be “When in doubt, make it up and twist the truth.”
The programs Sereda and her team at the Inter-Community Health Centre have instituted have saved lives.

I know this as I have witnessed these positive changes in patients of mine who have entered these programs.
We need to support and celebrate Sereda and her colleagues who work everyday to improve and save lives.

Teach kids to think
Regarding the article School renaming, trustee meals on the block (June 20).
Could we please just admit that school renaming is more of the woke ideology that is so pervasive atoday. In an attempt to appease a handful of perpetually offended people, the rest of us are required to suck up the cost associated with this foolhardy endeavour.
Nobody other than these people who are bent on rewriting our history, is concerned about the current names on our places of learning. Save your money and get back to teaching the basics.
Our kids will be able to learn the true history behind these school names and judge for themselves if the individual for whom the school was named was worthy of the honour.
As for trustee meals, bring a lunch.

Sign up for email
Recently, I was pulled over by a London Police officer who identified me by name and told me I did not have a driver’s license.
It turns out it had expired less than six weeks earlier.
I was fined $325 and was told someone had to pick me up as I could not drive my car.
I had received no reminder as we used to receive. My driver’s license was quickly renewed with a payment of $90 at the Service Ontario counter.
So, do yourself a favour; go to the Service Ontario website and sign up for email reminders for your health card, your driver’s license and your license plates, if you have not already done so. You can be fined ($125) for your license plates even though there is no fee for renewal.
I am frustrated and annoyed I found this out courtesy of a $325 fine.

Send signal by text
Regarding Tom Pint’s letter to the editor Roundabout habits (June 22), in which he describes how French drivers signal their intentions in the roundabout.
It would great to do in London but, unfortunately, certain London drivers have yet to learn to signal for left or right turn at intersections.
There is a distinct demographic of drives who fail to signal and I don’t think they read newspapers. Maybe we should send them a text.
