Five injured, one critically, in Oxford County crash: OPP

A two-vehicle crash in Oxford County sent five people to hospital, where one remains in critical condition, Oxford OPP said Tuesday.

A pick-up truck and minivan collided at the intersection of Airport Road and Base Line in Norwich Township, southeast of Woodstock, on Saturday at about 8:30 p.m., police said.

Four people in the minivan suffered serious to life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital. One of the passengers remains in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation into the crash continues and police ask anyone with information to contact Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Life-threatening injuries in London crash

One person was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash Tuesday morning at a busy south London intersection, police say.

Officers shut down the Wellington-Commissioners roads intersection after the crash shortly after 10 a.m. The London police traffic management unit was investigating and asking drivers to avoid the area.

Man killed in crash near Thamesville

A 41-year-old Dresden man died from injuries he suffered in a crash east of Thamesville, Chatham-Kent police say.

Two vehicles collided on Longwoods Road between Dew Drop Road and Huff’s Side Road around 4:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

The Dresden man was driving one vehicle, police said. He was taken to hospital where he died. Two passengers and the driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.
