London police were on Saturday investigating two separate overnight deaths that have been deemed “suspicious,” but noted there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
The first death happened Friday night, when police responded about 10 p.m. to reports of a disturbance in the area of Southdale Road East and Millbank Drive, east of White Oaks Mall, police said.

At the scene, officers located a man with life-threatening injuries, police said. The man was taken to hospital by paramedics but later died of his injuries, police said Saturday morning.
The second suspicious death happened around midnight, police said.
Officers responded about 12 a.m. to the area of Wharncliffe and Western roads following reports of a medical emergency. There, police found a woman with life-threatening injuries.
The woman was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
There’s no public ongoing risk in relation to either of the investigations, police said Saturday.
Residents in the areas of both incidents can expect increased police presence while investigators with the force’s major crime unit probe the cases, police said.
