A man is charged with aggravated assault after a stabbing that took place in the 300-block of Wharncliffe Road North on Sunday evening, London police say.
The victim, an adult man, was taken to hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries on Sunday evening, police said, adding he remained in hospital on Monday. The stabbing occurred along a stretch of Wharncliffe that is just north of Oxford Street.

A suspect was arrested early Monday in the area of Beaufort and Gunn streets, just a few blocks east of the site of the stabbing, and the London police canine unit was involved, police said.
A 38-year-old man from London is charged with aggravated assault and failure to comply with an undertaking, police said. He was expected to appear in court on Monday in relation to the charges.
Man set fire to RV in attempt to evade arrest: Police
A 41-year-old man is charged with setting fire to a recreational vehicle in Windsor in an attempt to evade police.
Officers arrived in the 700 block of Bridge Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday to arrest a suspect wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, police said.
Police said the man refused to exit a parked RV. They obtained a warrant and attempted to enter the trailer. But the suspect allegedly lit a fire that quickly engulfed the inside of the vehicle and spread to hydro lines above the trailer, police said.
As officers dealt with the fire, the suspect escaped through a small opening in the floor of the recreational vehicle and fled the scene. A search of the neighbourhood ended when officers found the suspect hiding in a home in the same block.
A man was arrested on outstanding warrants for charges of break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle and three counts of driving while prohibited. He also faces a charge of arson with disregard for human life and arson causing property damage.
