All three suspects were held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.

“This incident is another great example of members of the community working together with the police to make our community safer and more secure for everyone. As a result of keen observations by our citizens with a timely call to our officers, coupled with a dynamic police response, lethal and dangerous drugs were removed from our streets,” said Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll in a media release.

“With the opioid crisis that is ongoing across Canada and the deaths that continue to mount daily in small towns and big cities everywhere, this seizure of fentanyl is significant and represents approximately 8,500 individual doses that will no longer harm citizens from our community and our great communities that surround us,” Knoll said.
