The Owen Sound North Stars senior B team lost 9-4 to the Hamilton Bengals before tying the Clearview Crushers 8-8 this past weekend.

The North Stars (2-5-1) travelled to the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena on Saturday evening. Neil McInroy, Shane Halliwell, Ty Argent and Dawson Battersby all netted a pair of goals for the Bengals in the 9-4 victory. Aidan Buis added a lone marker.
Andy Campbell scored a pair of goals for Owen Sound while Kyle Childerhose and Gordie Power scored single markers.
On Sunday, Power netted a hat-trick while Jordan Caskenette (2), Brody Caskenette, Jordan McMillen and Riley Thompson scored in the 8-8 draw with the Crushers.
Gareth Haigh led the way for Clearview with five goals and three assists. Koichi Nakamura, Cole Hanrahan, and Angus Rawding added the other Crusher tallies.
The N’Stars are in fifth place in the six-team Ontario Series Lacrosse circuit midway through the regular season.

JR. B N’STARS ON A HEATER
The Owen Sound North Stars junior B team are on a four-game winning streak after knocking off the Six Nations Rebels and Wallaceburg Red Devils this past weekend at home.
On Saturday, Jonah Kerr (2), Nate Laycock (2), Curtis Arnold (2), Tyson Morrison, Gavin Downs, Everest L’Homme Wickens, Elliot Thomson, Holden Stevenson, and Jordan Cochrane all scored as the North Stars topped Six Nations 12-9. Carter Moran notched four helpers in the game.
On Sunday, N’Stars goaltender Myles Playter made 36 saves at Owen Sound as the North Stars edged Wallaceburg 7-6.
Moran netted a hat-trick and had three assists while Taylor Bennett notched a pair of goals. L’Homme Wickens and Curtis Arnold also scored for Owen Sound.
The North Stars are 10-7 in the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League circuit with three games remaining in the regular season.
Owen Sound will welcome the Guelph Regals to town Thursday night with the game slated to begin inside the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre at 8 p.m.
