Ali Chabar, head of the London police services board, says a new four-year contract for officers and civilian employees is rooted in a competitive compensation program that reflects market conditions. The deal announced Tuesday will increase wages for about 900 employees by five per cent in 2023, 3.5 per cent in 2024, 2.5 per cent in 2025 and two per cent in 2026.
