As our daily life gets increasingly difficult, practicing democracy becomes less appealing. We grow irritated, angry, suspicious, and occasionally harmful. When surrounded by homelessness, high accommodation costs, ineffective politics, and what appears to be a less-promising future, we often become poorer versions of ourselves.
