I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. I don’t feel that we should need the marker of January 1st to decide that we want to start making change in our lives when we have the power to make change any other day of the year. Whether or not we accomplish a goal by the end of a calendar year is an absolute measurement that doesn’t leave room to contemplate any progress we’ve made in the previous 12 months – it sets us up for emotional failure.
