For decades, the Ivey family name was synonymous with London. The wealthy philanthropists remain on many parts of the city, most notably Western University’s business school – but, in what feels like the end of an era, the Ivey Foundation is set to wind down over the next five years. Founded in 1947, it’s among the oldest private family foundations in Canada and its leadership will disperse its full $100 million endowment by 2028.
