LARGRET McINNES
Largret Jane McInnes, of Kincardine and formerly of Teeswater and Ripley, passed away at Trilllium Court in Kincardine on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late Frank A. Dore and William McInnes.
She was born in Greenock Township on Aug. 26, 1927, to the late Alberta (Sullivan) and Charles Brindley.
Greatly missed by her children Nancy (Brian) King of Thamesville, Ron (Ruth) Dore of Teeswater, Dianne (Al) Gottschalk of Shakespeare, Linda McInnes of Sarnia and Karen McInnes of Kincardine.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Opal Dore of Holyrood and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
Largret was always very active in the community. She taught 4-H and Sunday School. She sang in many choirs, was a member of the Teeswater Rebekahs and was a life member of both the WMS and Women’s Institute. She went on exchanges to P.E.I. and England. Largret loved to travel and loved to tell of her many adventures. She also spent much of her time researching family history, as family was always very important to her.
A funeral service was held from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022, with visitation for one hour prior.
Interment Ripley Cemetery.
