More than 800 people had registered in advance for a job fair Tuesday afternoon at White Oaks Mall. “And we expect more than that (to turn out),” Robert Collins, director of workforce development at the London Economic Development Corp., said as the event kicked off. “What we’re trying to have here is a welcoming environment.” More than 50 companies – based in London, but also in communities such as Glencoe and Strathroy – and 15 employment services set up booths in the hopes of finding the right people to fill open positions.
