Joint Kitchener-London bid pursuing 2023 world junior tournament

While the intention was to enter a bid with Quebec City, the organization switched gears Tuesday night and entered a bid for the tournament with the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group. The Senators were given a one-day extension by Hockey Canada to enter the bid after the untimely passing of owner Eugene Melnyk. The organization decided to try to keep the tournament in the city.
