Medical community concerned about EPA plan to lift restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions
The EPA proposes rescinding the “endangerment finding” that found climate change was harmful to people and greenhouse gases should be restricted. The Trump administration says the “endangerment finding” is costing the economy $54 billion a year. Doctors say the cost to people’s health will be higher.
A toxic chemical from the Gelman Plume was found in water wells in Scio Township
Michigan’s environment department found new detections of 1,4-Dioxane in residential wells in Scio Township. Washtenaw County says these wells have been tested before, but the state has lowered its level for reporting dioxane.
