Diane Wartnaby and Bob Cranston have been long-serving members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 309, volunteering countless hours in service to the branch and the Lucknow community.

Combined, the pair has more than 70 years of membership and 50 years of executive service. They have held many chair positions, been actively involved in building renovations and maintenance, and helped with the seniors dining program, hospital trips, and legion sports programs, as well as catering and kitchen events, including Strawberry Summerfest breakfast, wing nights, monthly takeout dinners, banquets and funerals, among others.

The duo also helps with the legion’s annual poppy campaign and Remembrance Day activities.

A Life Membership Award for outstanding legion service requires at least 10 years of continuous membership and must be recommended by the member’s branch and approved by the Provincial Command.
