LYDIA MARY KUS

Lydia Mary Kus (née Stecky) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home in Kincardine, at age 76.
Beloved wife of Rudolf “Rudy” Kus.
Loving mother of Julianne Kus (Jeffrey Fillingham), Stephanie Kus (Steve Donnelly) and Alexander Kus (Margaret Kelly).
Proud grandmother of Benjamin, Emma and Andrew.
Dear sister of Eugene Stecky (Efthimia Efantis).
Predeceased by her parents Katherine (née Dechnik) and Peter Stecky.
Lydia was part of a large extended family; she was a loved and cherished sister-in-law and aunt to many. As a friend, teacher at St Anthony’s school for many years, and a member and the past-president of the Kincardine Sunset Quilters Guild, Lydia touched the lives of many in her community. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The family received friends at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes Street, Kincardine) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (749 Russel Street, Kincardine) at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, with Father Thomas Manninezhath officiating. Reception at the church, following interment at Kincardine Cemetery.
If so desired, donations to Chalice or Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
