Southdale and Colonel Talbot intersection to close overnight

If you tend to travel through the intersection of Southdale and Colonel Talbot roads late at night, you will have to take a detour Thursday overnight.

The City of London said the intersection in the city’s southwest end will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday morning, as construction crews complete work on the Southdale/Colonel Talbot roundabout project.

“The closure is required to commission temporary traffic signals and shift traffic to the south half of Southdale Road West for the next stage of the project,” read a statement from city officials.

A signed detour will be in place for drivers to use during the temporary closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the area.
